    Question compatibility with laptop

    i have a toshiba satellite A665 (64 bit).
ubuntu worked fine with it out of the box, but i had a rather ugly experience with it,

now i'm thinking of trying out fedora (or mandriva. or suse. sadly, i KNOW desktopBSD is out), but am having a hard time finding a compatibility list.

can anyone point me in the right direction/enlighten me?

I usually go here first, but it does not list the A665.

A good idea might be try the Live version of those distros, so you can just test drive them, w/out installing them. FWIW, I use Fedora a lot and am happy w/it.

    good luck.
