best case nfs performance.
What is possible? I need to record data to a NFS share on a large NAS. Get near line speed for iSCSI. Get 60MBps on RHEL 6. Get higher on RHEL 5.X but the filesystem hangs up for long periods of time.
Can I do better with NFS? If so how? link bonding doesn't seem the answer.
What is possible to sustain writes? I am writing to a Oracle 7310 that is idle connected by a cisco 2960G.
I am going to attempt jumbo frames and a direct connect but I am not optimistic.
I have not done straight netperf. That is also in my list of testing.
We are committed to NFS and the 7310's but if I can't sustain 80-90MBps it is not going to work. Cleint is a Dell 5400 with 16GB of RAM and 8 xeon core.
nic's are broadcom.
