Wireless Apple Magic Touchpad not seen by Gnome bluetooth

I am currently running RedHat 6.1 Workstation. The Gnome Bluetooth software does not find my Apple Magic Touchpad. What should I do? I tried scanning by doing "hcitool scan". It did not appear to find it. I am using a USB to Bluestem adapter called D-Link DBT-120.

Were there any drivers that you had to install for your touchpad?
I'm not familiar with Apple touchpads... does it have any specific OS requirements?
I ask because I know that the Magic Mouse from Apple "works" on other OS's, but with heavily reduced functionality.
