  1. #1 error after compiling php5.0.3rc1 with gd

I get this error message whenever I try to start apache now that I've compiled PHP5.0.3rc1 with GD.

    Failed to start apache :
Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 190 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/lib/httpd/modules/ into server: failed to map segment from shared object: Permission denied

My server is Fedora core 3, and I've got libgd, libgd-devel, libgd-progs, libpng, libpng-devel, libjpeg, and libjpeg-devel all installed.

I've confirmed that is in my /usr/lib/ folder and I even chmod'd it to 777 to make sure I had ok permissions.

Does anyone have any thoughts for me?

    Hmm . . .

You may have more than one version of, try to run a locate on it. Also, try to run an 'ldd /usr/lib/httpd/modules/' to see where the actual libraries it is trying to load are located.

Interesting error though, I would like to know what is up.

I respectfully decline the invitation to join your delusion.

I've done both those things. At least we think alike though!

    LoadModule php5_module /usr/lib/httpd/modules/
