    mkisofs option

    hi All,

I have a little question regarding mkisofs.
I would like to make an iso of an active system with mkisofs but the $$%%% thing gest aborts with the following message .

    The file .... did shrink.

I guess that the error is caused by the grows and shrinking of the log files. I've read something about errctrl in the man pages. Can somebody explain me how to use it or maby give me an alternative or point me to a link.I don't want to use programs, only having the answer about that mkisofs issue

    TIA guys!!!

I have no idea what that error is you have mentioned...however, if I were you, i'd reboot into rescue mode (via Live CD, etc.) and mount the system (read-only), and then run mkisofs on the mounted filesystem - that way, all data is static.
