monit alternative
Hi,
I have the following problem: when service is restarted by monit couple of times in short time period, monit automatically changes status of this service to unmonitored and stops sending notification via emial. But when this service keeps stopping working monit tries to restart it but don't send notification about it. Is it possible for monit to send emails regardless how many times and now often service stops working?
In production we are using centOS, but this problem also occurs in my Ubuntu workstation.
Please have a look into it, and let me know if I can assist you any further.

Monit is not a standard Linux tool, but it seems to be useful. My suggestion is to post this to their user forums (if available), or support people. Go to M/Monit | Automatic management and monitoring of hosts and services
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
