    Help I unmounted a partition and now I can't do anything

    I unmounted a partition because someone told me to. I was in a livecd boot and i did this in the terminal. Within five minutes my mozilla firefox stopped opening and my add/remove software application stopped functioning. After rebooting with the live cd, most of my applications including terminal dissapeared.
