    Not able to Login In

I created a user and was able to login with the user name / password
    This issues is happening recently
Now when I login as the user, the system accepts the password and brings up a blank screen for a few minutes and brings me back to the login screen

I am able to login as any other user and also I am able to do a su to the user from the Terminal prompt.

I am running Fedora core 3

    Any help would be appreciated

I'm probably way off on this - but could your passwd file been corrupt or altered? If that were the case the user may no longer have access to a shell. You can check with
    Code:
    cat /etc/passwd | grep <username>
The end of the line should specify the shell for that user. An example may read: "matt:500:500:matt:/home/matt:/bin/bash" - this user has bash for a shell.

Are you logging in graphically to x-windows or just from a terminal screen?
