    Import/export filesystem quotas

    Hello.

I wanted to know if it's posible to import filesystem quotas. And if so, how can I do it?

I recently migrated a server, and presently the users don't have any quota limitations.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Vilhena

Apparently yes, but I' have no experience with it.

You can give quotas on each mounted filesystem (type ext2 or ext3).
Not all (filesystem) tools give you the possibility to handle quotas. If you use Webmin, you can give quotas 'System => Disk and Network Filesystems => <click on mounted filesystem> => <bottom right you can give a quota>.

Of course it will also be possible to handle 'quotas' directly in configuration files, but I repeat I have no experience with quotas. There is a mini howto on facq.org (search for 'Quota mini-Howto')
