Missing packages...
Hi forum,
I recently installed RH server 6 i386 30days trial version. What I noticed that the number of packages are missing including favourite KATE text editor and glade 2.6.0.
I decided to install these product from KDE and Gnome.org but now I am running lack of number of dependency packages within installation and whole thing become a one heck of wild goose chase one after another.
The question is Red Hat 30days trial version is a cut down version???
RH server 6 does not support above development packages. Is it done away with kate and glade 2.6.0????????
Although I noticed the gedit is quite much improved but still does not run under multi-session environment nor multiple windows within session for different source file editing.
When I run glade-2.6.0 configure script I get heap load of following errors:
Can some one put me in right direction, please...Code:checking installed gtk1 version (not needed)... ./configure: line 20050: gtk-config: command not found configure: WARNING: Can't determine your gtk1 version, assuming 1.2.2 checking installed gtk2 version... 2.18.9 checking installed gtk-- version (not needed)... ./configure: line 20135: gtkmm-config: command not found configure: WARNING: Can't determine your gtkmm version, assuming 1.0.0 checking installed gtkmm-2 version (not needed)... 2.18.2 checking for gnome-- 1.x version (not needed)... ./configure: line 20290: gnome-config: command not found gnome-config not found Package libgnomemm-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. I second Lazydog's suggestion.
In any event, you should find kate in the package kdesdk and glade 2.6.4 should also be provide in the package libglade2.
