I tried to install it like Fedora with wvdial and libwvstreams but no luck. There is also no Network-manager and no Network-applet in the Gnome panel to choose.

It is CentOS 6. At first I could not get wvdail or libwvsteams to load so I reinstalled CentOS and they would install. I have repeating problems with Linux Distros not installing right the first or even the second time.

CentOS 6 has the same networking tools as Fedora (I think its based in Fedora 13). This means that you should be able to use something like system-config-network or the network-manager tool to configure dialup and other networking.
