hello linux experts
i am using windows and fedora 12 on a single machine as dual boot.
i am also working behind proxy.
the problem is the google earth is working fine if i am booting in windows, but not on linux.then i think it is not with the proxy.but the google says that it may be with proxy on port 80. i can't go further. i can see only a black screen after starting googleearth.(in linux)

What version of Google Earth are you running? How did you install it?
Have you checked here for the Google Earth System Requirements?
Have you launched it from a terminal window, so that you may see any errors/messages sent to STDERR/STDOUT?
I have version 6.0.3.2197 running fine on my Fedora 15 box (w/Intel 945GM graphics).
EDIT: I forgot - I assume your Linux install is configured to get out onto the internet, yes?Last edited by atreyu; 08-19-2011 at 02:10 PM. Reason: network?
