createrepo issue

i'm new to linux.installed fedora 14.i want to set up asterisk gui using asteriskNow 1.7.1-i386.iso. these are the issues:
1. when i mount the iso image into my /mnt/asterisk/gui directory which i created, i see the warning :"mounted as read-only" so that the createrepo command cannot write into the repo directory.
2. wen i run the command createrepo inside my /mnt/asterisk/gui repo directory i get the error message:

Error: Must specify a directory to index.
Usage: genpkgmetadata.py [options]

pls i need help. i av googled but i don't seem to be able to find a solution

Wouldn't you be better off copying the files in the Packages folder to your repo folder on the hard disk first?

When you run createrepo you want your working directory to be /mnt/asterisk and you execute createrepo gui
