    KDE Install

    I am trying to install KDE on my RHEL 6.1 64 bit os.

    I have another machine and I installed in right from the add/remove Software.

    I am trying to install kde onto a different machine but exact same specs and I cannot find the KDE Desktop in the add/remove software.

    Am I missing something or do I download KDE software online and install in manually?

    Hello

    A few years back, you could install KDE with the yum package tool using the following command:

    Code:
    yum groupinstall "KDE (K Desktop Environment)"
    I've not heard that anything has changed since then, but it might have.

    On my RHEL 6 box, the command to install the KDE desktop is:

    yum groupinstall "KDE Desktop"
