removing stubborn connections
Dear all,
I have an issue with my lvs, whereby, the server does not notice that the client side connection has been closed and keeps sending messages to a dead client.
i looked at the conntrack and it doesnt seem to have an issue there.
Attached is the conntrack
It only happens for the virtual connection. If i connect to the real server, its perfectly fine.
Please do help

Is this the same issue that you are talking about in this thread?
If so, then may I suggest posting this new info to your other thread, as Double Posting is against Forum Rules.Jay

Whatever the case (double post or not), it is likely that the proxy (virtual) server has not closed its connection with the real (physical) server that is the proxy for the client session. IE, the client closes the connection, the virtual server doesn't close its end to the actual physical server that serviced the connection. This may be a timing or race condition that reflects a bug in the LVS server code.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
