Guys, how do u are dealing with MySQL 5.1?

Before Centos 5.7 I could install MySQL 5.1 from MySQL.COM, php-mysql, etc.

Now, RedHat(Centos) introduce php 5.3 which is great, now once I install MySQL rpm, try to install php-mysql and got issues because is searching for the old MySQL libraries libmysql...15.

MySQL 5.1 from mysql.com install lib...16 and there is the issue, mysql 5.1 have some features that 5.0 doesn't have this is why I need it.

How do u handle this?

Install MySQL 5.1 from mysql.com + php53-mysql?

epel+repi give us 5.5 which is new and don't want to use something my current system don't use.
