    Cursing time on Linux Server help

    Ok, I'm completely confused now. On the linux server, I set the date and hw clock, stopped ntpd, and even deleted /etc/adjtime.....and the time STILL keeps resetting. I need it to run 10 minutes behind EDT. Help!!!! Thanks.

    Also, after I delete adjtime it reappears after time resets.

    And you need to delay the server by 10 minutes why?
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
