dual boot fedora
hello atm i got windows xp and i wanna install fedora but i wanna keep windows xp i got 2 partitions C and D in c is instlled windows xp if i install fedora in D will windows xp stay so i can dual boot? and will D format or just install fedora and thats all

As long as you point the Fedora installer to D, you'll be fine.

Partition naming conventions for Linux are different and it would probably be a good idea to get that information before you begin the installation. When you boot the Live CD, you should open a terminal and log in as root and run this command: fdisk -l(lower case Letter L in the command) to get partition information. The partitions will show as sda1, sda2, etc. depending upon how many you have. It will also show the filesystem type and for windows it should be ntfs so whichever partition has that indicated is windows and make sure you don't overwrite it with Fedora.
I haven't used Fedora recently but in the older versions, there was an Applications tab at the top left. Click on that and mouse over the options to find a terminal. Type su to login as root, should not need a password, just hit enter.
