    monitor/resolution problem

hi everyone... i am new to fedora *(but have been using ubuntu for a year or so) and i am having a screen resolution problem......

my monitor is a mitsubishi 60" dlp 1080p...... that runs a native resolution of 1900x1080

but it is recognized as a mitsubishi 73" and the screen does not fit properly... with the top tool bar and bottom and both sides cut off....

there is no resolution i can set it at where it will work properly.....

this is a dual boot box with win7 and it works properly in win....

please someone tell me how to manually set the screen size or the resolution so i can enjoy my monitor....

    thank you in advance...

    Hi and Welcome !

Which Graphics Card do you have?
Execute this command in Terminal :
    Code:
    lspci | grep -i vga
    Post output here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

You have to install Nvidia Proprietary Driver? Which version of Fedora or RedHat are you using?

If you haven't installed Nvidia Driver manually, then you are not running correct driver. Fedora uses nouveau driver by default.
I would suggest you to follow instructions from here to install Nvidia Proprietary driver. Post back if you any query regarding any installation step.
