Fully loaded mail server in centos 6 or ubuntu 10.04

    Dear friends,

I need to configure an enterprise class secured e-mail server by using postfix (I don't want to use zimbra, I just want to get out of zimbra) in Centos 6 or Ubuntu 10.04 server. I need the following features in my mail server.

POP3 and IMAP access for users, mail forwarding, SMTP authentication for all out going mails, able to set quota for individual user mailbox, able to define e-mail attachment size for individual user, user themselves can be able to set automatic vacation response, Group e-mail, able to block certain kind of attachments in the e-mails, Squirrel Mail or roundcube as the web client. I have planned to configure licensed version of kaspersky antispam and antivirus for security.

Also I need to configure jabber chat server in the same machine and all the user has to login to their chat client using their e-mail ID and their password which i was created in the mail server.

Please guide me how to achieve this,

why don't you want to use zimbra?
It's kinda like an alternative to exchange server. Would provide you with other enterprise features like calender sharing etc.

    Dear friend,

Now I am using zimbra 7.1.1 Open source edition in Ubuntu 10.04 server in my h/w (3.0 Ghz intel dual core processor, 4 GB RAM, 2X250GB HDD with RAID 1), It consumes lot and lots of CPU and memory and sometimes it got hanged, As I was an Open source enthusiast I don't want to rely on VMware's product. I am interested to configure my own mail server.

    Dear atreyu,

Thanks my friend, still I don't know how to authenticate a user for chatting with their same e-mail ID and password. that is common authentication for both e-mail and chat server for a user

I did that once a *long* time ago w/LDAP, postfix, and ejabberd for chat, I believe. See what googling that turns up.
