    problem installing mplayer in rhel6

    here is the error message..

    You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
    You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest


    I tried for 'libesd.so.0'... but i dint find any..... can anyone help me out....

    Have you installed ATrpms repository? Check this tutorial on MPlayer installation.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    What DC says. Also, for a better player experience, try VLC, which is also in the ATrpms repository...
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    What are you using to install this package? Are you trying to use RPM, or are you using YUM? RPM does not deal with dependencies, and is used internally by YUM. The preferred package manager these days is YUM.

    I used yum...... The results above is the error showed when i used yum...... I gone through almost all repositories available..... but still can find any packages to solve this issue....
