    What version of CentOS are you running?
    Code:
    cat /etc/redhat-release
    What version of ss5 are you running? How did you install it?

    Have you checked the ss5 log file (by default, /var/log/ss5)?

    How about /var/log/messages or /var/log/secure?

    Have you tried setting the SS5_SYSLOG_LEVEL to get more output from the program?

    From your attached /var/log/messages:
    Code:
    Nov 10 09:44:33 server ss5: *** glibc detected *** /usr/sbin/ss5: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x09b4d4b0 ***
    <snip>
    Nov 12 02:48:04 server ss5: *** glibc detected *** /usr/sbin/ss5: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x09ee66c0 ***
    Nov 12 05:12:03 server ss5: *** glibc detected *** /usr/sbin/ss5: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x098568e0 ***
    This does not look good. I ask again: how did you install ss5? What does this command show?
    Code:
    ldd /usr/sbin/ss5
