Hello... most of them are compatible, except for the very newest models in some cases.
Keep in mind that the manufacturers of many cards don't say whether or not they are compatible with Linux on the packaging. The best option is to decide what you might want to purchase, then check forums like this one to ask about compatibility.
I've always run nVidia graphics cards and have never had one that didn't work with Linux. I did at one time have a LAN chip that wasn't supported by default for a month or two, but a new kernel came out and then that chip was supported.oz

I agree with Ozar. Also, get RHEL 6.1 - it has fixed a LOT of issues with network card support, especially wireless stuff. Things that caused me a lot of grief with 6.0 on my laptop have been fully resolved with 6.1.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
