Windows Active Directory and Samba Authentication.

    Hello All,

Currently, I am in a school project. constructing a windows 2003 server environment with Redhat linux 8.0. The problem we are having is the following: Wwe have AD users set up, with password etc, the same info has also been ste up in Linux accounts, as well as Samba users and their appropriate passwords. We cannot seem to get the Windows user authenticated to get to the Linux Server. We see the linux server in the Windows Neighborhood, but we keep getting permission problems. The SMB.CONF has been edited with the appropriate data, from what we can tell. Looking online, their seem sto be references to OPENLDAP client as being a method to incorporate this environement. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, currently I do not have the exact error message to post, if this is definitly needed, I can recreate the problem and post the error. Sorry that this is so lenghtly..

    Regards,
    Alski
