Install gnome-tweak. After installing gnome-tweak,under the shell tab, you can select the options(show minimize/maximize/close/all) to be shown on the ui windows.
There is the official GNOME Shell Extensions website, too, I forgot to mention. It went live recently, and may be worth a peak, though I haven't experimented with it myself, yet. I did run some of the extensions that they host there now, but that was back before they were "official".
