    Screen Resolution Problems (Fedora 16)

I've just installed Fedora 16 and I'm having problems seeing anything in the top left corner. I've already tried changing the screen resolution in system settings/display but nothing happens.

I'm not sure if that's relevant but I have a 1080p 22" monitor. Thanks in advance.

I've not really used Fedora in quite some time, but let's get some more detailed information.
Open up a terminal, and use the following command:
    Code:
    lspci -knn
Look for the entry in the output that refers to your VGA controller. Post that entry back here.

You do have the right driver installed. What screen resolutions are available to you?
Does the resolution actually change if you choose other resolution settings?

I have all the resolutions I'd think were normal 1920 x 1080 (16:9) etc. I did a clean install though and it seems to work now the resolution would not change but now it does when I switch to 1080 x 1024 (5:4).

Strange though as I run Windows in 1920:1080 (16:9) just fine. Thank you for your help Jay I really appreciate it.

So, after a re-install, everything is working properly?
I wish I could tell you what changed... but I'm glad it's working!

BTW... here's a nice little help page for getting certain things working in Fedora: Personal Fedora 16 Installation Guide
