RHEL6 hanging on boot
Hello
I am using intel i7 processor with 8GB RAM
monitor is V22+ AOC.
graphic is GE8400S nvidia
the issue is that the RHEL6 boot hangs.
the acpi=force is tried but still it hangs.
with acpi=off , it boots up normal but the fonts are too big.
the BIOS is on latest level.
motherboard is intel DH55TC.
any help will be much appreciated.
I need to use the virtualization, but since the machine hangs on boot up ( i.e boots takes like 45 minutes or so) and also hangs on normal shutdown.
Any help would be much appreciated.

This is not a kernel, video, or monitor issue. This is a motherboard issue (probably) given that disabling ACPI allows it to boot. What is the make+model of your computer? Another thing is that this could be due to a mis-configuration of the BIOS, which is not uncommon for PC's manufactured to run Windows. You may need to alter some BIOS settings to resolve this, at the least.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
