    Vlan tagging issue


    Hi All,

    I am facing one issue on my RHEL-6 server.I am having 4 network ports, which i bonded and created a single bond0.I gave ip and it is working fine.

    After this I did vlan tagging which is not working.When i am trying to ping,it is giving host unreachable error.please let me know what to do

    We are going to need a bit more information before we can help you with this.

    Please post the following information about your server:

    All interface config files both eth# and the bond.
    Output from ifconfig
    Traceroute from your system to said server
    Output from route
    What you configured for vlan tagging.

    Are there any firewalls in between your system and the server?
    Is the server running a firewall? If so please post /etc/sysconfig/iptables or what ever script you use to configure it.

    Hi,

    We are facing issue after doing the vlan tagging.We have 4 network ports which I bonded to bond0 and it is working fine.After that when I am doing the vlan tagging ie bond0.54 it is not working.When I am trying to ping my gateway it is giving host unreachable.

    I did everything as per redhat document.My OS is RHEL6.
