Problem in booting kernel Screen goes in power saving mode.

    Hi All

I am running Fedora Core15 with linux kernel version on my Core i5 desktop machine. And I am trying to compile obtained from kernel/org The Linux Kernel Archives[/url]. I tried building and installing with default config options which succeeds. But when I try to boot into from the grub menu the new kernel doesn't boot and screen enters into "power saving mode".

Can someone please tell what might be wrong?

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
There are significant differences between 2.6.34 and 2.6.38 kernels. Moving from .38 to .34 may require downgrading a lot of libraries and applications as well. This is just a swag, but not impossible.
