Problem in booting kernel 2.6.34.11. Screen goes in power saving mode.
Hi All
I am running Fedora Core15 with linux kernel version 2.6.38.6-26.rc1.fc15.x86_64 on my Core i5 desktop machine. And I am trying to compile 2.6.34.11 obtained from kernel/org The Linux Kernel Archives[/url]. I tried building and installing with default config options which succeeds. But when I try to boot into 2.6.34.11 from the grub menu the new kernel doesn't boot and screen enters into "power saving mode".
Can someone please tell what might be wrong?
Regards,
Saurabh

There are significant differences between 2.6.34 and 2.6.38 kernels. Moving from .38 to .34 may require downgrading a lot of libraries and applications as well. This is just a swag, but not impossible.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
