The man pages are a good starting point. Your comment was inappropriate. Again. I guess, you can take it alone from here....

sorry I don't think it was inappropriate; I asked for a book, not how to call manual pages. You get the difference right? the latter is trying to be unpleasant, since it's not an answer to what I did ask.

"What time is it?" -> "It's time to buy a watch"

    Hello, CaViCcHi

Saying that someone is coming off like a total douche is definitely inappropriate, and if you think that it's not, then you are clearly on the wrong forum. Please refrain from making such comments in the future.

No further warnings will be issued.

    Thank you.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anybody...

    but...

if you encourage "experts" to look down on beginners and treat them with not enough respect, I do believe I am in the wrong forum.

anyway, as per Wikipedia: "The term 'douche' usually refers to a person, usually male, with a variety of negative qualities, specifically arrogance and engaging in obnoxious and/or irritating actions, most often without malicious intent." and that's exactly what he did; he engaged with arrogance in an irritating action (man yum) as opposed to "I don't know any particular book, but you could try by reading the manual that comes with YUM, by accessing `man yum` ". Manners people... manners differentiate people from animals.

Please feel free to disagree with me. Being disagreed with doesn't bother me; I've always said the the world would be a boring place if everyone always agreed, but if you lack the wit, intelligence or social skills to do so politely then don't bother.

"Do you know where I can get a hamburger?"
"You can get a good rib-eye steak over there... ... for free"

You sir, are indeed on your own.
    What do we want?
    Time machines!

    When do we want 'em?
    Doesn't really matter does it!?
