    Fedora core 1 distro question

    Hello all,

    This particular computer was configured as a "desktop".

    I went to use the "useradd" command in terminal only to find that it does not exsist! Ironically, the GNU GUI user function works just fine, but less flexible.

    What command is the GUI usning then?????????

    fedora useradd/adduser

    Thanks moe, I never realized that both were listed in the man pages!!!
    Why do they mess with us like that?

    Unfortunatly, neither version of the command exists.
    Now what?

    Are you absolutely sure they don't exist? Are you giving the absolute path? Have you tried:
    Code:
    /sbin/adduser myuser
    or
    Code:
    /sbin/useradd myuser

    You need to be root to run adduser. If not, bash will tell you 'command not found' or something. use the 'su -' command, enter the root password and try 'adduser' again.
    /IMHO
    //got nothin'
    ///this use to look better
