    Hi
    I want to configure my linux pc as a VT-100 terminal so that I can gather data from Serial port .It is to be done for some specific work.
    Please help me out.

    The VT-100 terminal protocol is pretty much the same as the ansi terminal specs, other than lack of color support. In any case, you should be able to use the minicom terminal emulation program, which has vt100 as well as ansi emulation capabilities. It should be installed as a default application on most/all Linux systems.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
