it should be part of the glibc-common package. at least it is on my RHEL 4.x system:

    Code:
    # rpm -qf `which iconv`
    glibc-common-2.3.4-2.19
which means it is very likely already installed, as glibc-common is a standard package.

Thanks for the reply. That package is not available. How to download/install the package?

Do you have the original installation media? If so, then use that. Otherwise, you'll need a valid RHN login from Red Hat in order to access their yum servers.

assuming you do have an RHN and yum set up, you'll just need to do:

    Code:
    yum install glibc-common
