    installing and configurating proxy server on centos 6(socks 5, sock 6


    Hello everyone
    i have dedicated server that using centos 6. i'm going to run proxy service(socks 5, sock 6 and https protocols) on it and also host it(with user authentication). I cant configure it too...i'm so new in linux.i dont know how should i do this. please help me to do this step by step, if u can.

    Try this guide, it is for CentOS 5, but should get you going. Basically, it is one command to install the package(s) and then edit the main config file.

    For user-based http hosting, you need to be more specific. You can do simple login authentication in Apache using .htaccess files and the Require directive.

    In my country, there is internet filtering...and i'm going to round filtering with that.
    actually i want to connect with my local computer that using windows 7(with sofware like proxifier) and then browse into the internet without any filtering!! how can i do that and install all protocols(sock 6 and https protocols) for this on my server?

    i want to install HTTP proxy server that supports SSL tunneling..
