    Hi guys,

I'm just months old in Linux World, So please bare with my ignorance.

I got a Rhel 6 machine, was working fine untill yesterday.
Now i'm unable to boot in X windows, able to boot into single & multiuser mode though.
No error message during Boot. When login comes, screen just Freezes.
unable to use the shutdown options in the page as well.
But able to get the X windows, if i login using multiuser mode and give STARTX.

Thanks for your Time. Any help appreciated.

    Regards
    Anthony.

    Hello and welcome to LF,

    Anything in the syslog?

    Code:
    tailf /var/log/messages
Do you have an RHN and internet connection, so that you can run updates?

    Hi

    Hi

The problem was with Selinux. I changed the context of some folders which caused this issue. Works fine now.

    Thanks for your Time.

    Regards
    Anthony
