Hi and Welcome !
Boot up from RHEL 5.5 installation media and select 'Boot from Hard disk' option in its startup menu. Does Windows XP or RHEL boot up after that?It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Hi,
As questioned by Devils Casper, are you able to boot into operating system or getting any kind of errors.
As Devils Casper suggested you can boot using rescue disk
If you getting grub prompt while booting.
try this steps out
Check partitions details:-
grub > rootnoverify (partition)
grub > geometry (partition)
Install grub from prompt
grub > grub-install (partition)
it will try install stage1 and stage2
Boot into windows
grub > root (windowspartition)
grub > chainloader +1
Please try this and if you still facing problems please post.
Best Wishes,
Warm Regards.
