    centOS download and installation



    hi all
    i downloaded CentOS-6.3-x86_64 file from net to install on my system...but when i started installation, at the very start i got fol messages and could not start installation::

    This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU...
    Unable to boot - Please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

    Probably that means my system CPU is 32bit while this CentOS package is for 64 bit...is it so???even im not finding any link for 32bit centOS download,, if some one can plz provide a link for 32bit centos package download???
    how to exactly know from comandline in my system to know whether my system is 32bit or 64bit???
    how to know while downloading a package that its for 32bit or 64 bit???
