    SLES 11 SP1 s390x- list number of Physical and Logical CPU's?


    What is the command to lists the number of Physical and Logical CPU on SLES 11 SP1 (s390x) system ?

    cpuinfo file shows the below info

    cat /proc/cpuinfo
    vendor_id : IBM/S390
    # processors : 1
    bogomips per cpu: 14367.00
    features : esan3 zarch stfle msa ldisp eimm dfp etf3eh highgprs
    processor 0: version = FF, identification = 117B45, machine = 2817

    Hi and welcome

    /proc/cpuinfo is the right spot.
    You need to interpret the output yourself or parse it via bash/perl/ruby/whatever
    Essentially: If there is a "physical id" attribute listed for a given cpu, then it is a physical one. Otherwise not.
