    Install 32-bit libs on 64-bit RHEL6.3

    We need to compile 32bit application on 64-bit RHEL6.3. How can I install glibc-devel.i386? I tried "yum install glibc-devel", it cant find the package. However glibc-devel.i686 is already installed.

    Please help.

    Using CentOS (derived from RHEL):
    OS, ker|rel, machine: Linux, 2.6.32-220.17.1.el6.x86_64, x86_64
    Distribution : CentOS release 6.2 (Final)
    One can search:
    % yum search glibc-devel
    Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security
    Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
     * base:
     * extras:
     * updates:
    =========================== N/S Matched: glibc-devel ===========================
    glibc-devel.x86_64 : Object files for development using standard C libraries.
    glibc-devel.i686 : Object files for development using standard C libraries.
      Name and summary matches only, use "search all" for everything.
    And one can continue from there with the appropriate package name:

    See man yum for details on search, list, info.

    Best wishes ... cheers, drl
