    Hi.

    Using CentOS (derived from RHEL):
    Code:
    OS, ker|rel, machine: Linux, 2.6.32-220.17.1.el6.x86_64, x86_64
    Distribution : CentOS release 6.2 (Final)
    One can search:
    Code:
    % yum search glibc-devel
    Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security
    Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
     * base: mirror.ubiquityservers.com
     * extras: mirror.fdcservers.net
     * updates: mirrors.serveraxis.net
    =========================== N/S Matched: glibc-devel ===========================
    glibc-devel.x86_64 : Object files for development using standard C libraries.
    glibc-devel.i686 : Object files for development using standard C libraries.

      Name and summary matches only, use "search all" for everything.
    And one can continue from there with the appropriate package name: http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/har...a64-em64t.html

    See man yum for details on search, list, info.

    Best wishes ... cheers, drl
