    Adding cache to memory, How ? nEED Help,,please.....


    Hi,

    One of the SUSE LINUX server memory is full.

    Need to add cache memory to Real memory.

    How to do this this ?
    Any help is appreciated.

    # free -m total used free shared buffers cached
    Mem: 2025 1975 50 0 77 1689
    -/+ buffers/cache: 208 1817
    Swap: 1027 0 1027


    I want to add cache memory 1689 to the total memory, How can this be done ?

    Any command is their to do it ? Please Help Me.

    Your memory is not "full" - the 2ND line under free shows 1817MB. Buffering/caching are normal kernel operations. You can find more info via Google about how the Linux kernel manages memory and how to interpret the "free" command.
