    How do I update the kernel on F17?


    I've tried using yum update kernel but it says there isn't any. What do I have to do?

    Why do you think you need to update the kernel? Your Fedora repositories will have the updated kernels when they are available. However, if you want to install a specific kernel, then you will need to get the kernel rpm file and use rpmbuild to build/install it. There are FAQs on the Red Hat and CentOS web sites that will walk you through that process.
