    WHM Dedicated IP address timeout

I have an IP that routes to a site on my Linux VPS and it repeatedly times out. The IP seems properly configured on my server, has been added in my hosting company's control panel and was working a week ago.

The IP is 217.199.161.147. It is listed as being in my WHM "Show and Delete current IP addresses". I'm not sure what diagnostic checks I need to do to find out the problem here as I'm fairly new to my VPS.

I know this is fairly light on info but I can post more here as required.

    Thanks,
    Rich

Some very limited tests (ping, traceroute, telnet to port 22, 80, 25) from outside show: Your host is offline.
However, your "neighbours" 217.199.161.146 and 217.199.161.148 do respond to ping/traceroute.

Which leads me to believe, it is not a network issue with your provider. Unless
    - this provider would specifically block your host (which is unlikely, and if it was the case you would be notified about it)
    - or there is a hardware issue with the switch port / cable / NIC connected to your machine. (Rare, but not unheard of. A ticket to the provider asking for verification should bring certainty)

But the issue is most likely with the host itself.
    Did you recently reconfigure:
    - firewall
    - network device
    - IP address
    - default gateway
    - routing

If you still can get a root shell via out-of-band management, please post the output of the following commands.
    Code:
    iptables -L -n
    ip route show
    ip link show
    ip addr show
You must always face the curtain with a bow.

    Thanks for your reply Irithori

Below are the output of the commands you mentioned. I will now go and Google these and see what they do
