    Oracle VirtualBox and Kernel issues

    Hello all,
    CentOS 6.3 AMD cpu

I am a newbb and am confused on kernel issues. I had to upgrade my kernel in order to get my wireless working and used ndiswrapper
now I have a choice of kernels whern I boot up into CentOS if I pick the one I upgrded to my wireless works but virtualBox will not run. Error Specify KERN_DIR=<directory>

    [John@centOS ~]$ virtualbox
WARNING: The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module
available for the current kernel (3.7.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64) or it failed to
load. Please recompile the kernel module and install it by

    sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup

You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed.

If I boot off another kernel-2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64 my VB works but wireless doesn't work

Googled forever on this nothong is working.

    cd /usr/src/kernels
    ls

    2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64

    cd /lib/modules
    ls

    2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64 3.7.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64
    2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64 virtualbox.repo

    uname -r
    3.7.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64 # wireless works; VirtualBox doesn't

    uname -r
    2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64 # VirtualBox works; wireless doesn't

    uname -r

    Have you tried re-installing VirtualBox?
