problem logging in to RHL 9

i changed my hostname and the domain name to suite the NT domain in the place i work. but i was unable to access internet.(error:ISA authencation reguiered) i just restarted and after that i can't login to the machine. i even tried with root and still didn't work . after that i cleared the root password but still i can't login

then someone else came and changed the hostname and domain name back to localhost and localdomain by going through the linux rescue. but the problem remains and even of a new user being added still i can't login to the machine. now the domainname and the hostname is set to localhost and localdomain. i can't figure out what's wrong please help
