    Audio problem


    Hi
    i have fedora 16 installed in an Inspiron n5010 i have problem with youtube, when i put my USB LifeChat LX-3000 headset i hear through it the systems sounds like when i increase or decrease sound but when it comes to youtube it's the pc speakers that works i even tried to shut them down with sound configuration. Is it impossible because it's from microsoft ??

    Hello nymar, welcome to the forums.

    IMHO, I would say it has something to do with hardware output. I would search (with youtube video playing) browser's volume and hardware output. Is the headset listed?

    Please post the output of the below command with USB headset connected.

    It is obviously being recognised as you hear system sounds, but I'm thinking of sound configurations. Which is your audio plugin? Which browser are you using?
