    network newbe

I have a PII 300, K6-2 450, and two PI boxes. Right now I have FC2 on the PII and I would like to set up a network in such a fashion that the boxes could be used as individual work stations and alternately used for rendering with Blender 3D. I hope to upgrade to FC3 for all the boxes "soon now".
I have 10 meg and 100 meg nic cards and a 4 port 10-100meg netgear hub.
The blender community has produced a python script that does what I want. I need a tutorial that shows me how to set up the hardware and net work. Any good tutorials available? The ones I have googled are somewhat over my head or for more advanced equipment.
    Any help is appreciated.
