Talking Rsync from 1 server to another in a specified drive.

    Hello all,

Mounting was giving me problems so I decided to just use rsync. If anyone could help with the mount command that'd be great, if not, I need help with the rsync post.

I have 2 servers: 1-physical server, 2-virtual server. i need to move all data and files in the physical server to the virtual server. However, I need to specifiy the drive (space) in the virtual sever.

    rsync -av ssh /home [virtual_server]: /home

This command rsync the files to /dev/mapper...root but I need it to go onto /dev/sdb1 which has larger space.

I haven't found any info on it, PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

Firstly, what hypervisor are you using, KVM, virtual box, vmware, OpenVZ, something else?

Secondly, what files are you trying to copy and why?
