    problems with keyring


    hi i just changed my user and root passwords on my rhel system. now when i sign in the keyring sends me a message and asks for the password i tried the new ones, and when that didnt work i switched the passwords back to the originals and it still doesnt work. does anybody know how to fix this? thanks

    The keyring should use a passphrase that is apart from your user or root passwords. You should have been asked to register it when you set up the keyring. Do you remember what it is? It is used to encrypt your private keys...

    ya what I thought was my password (I have no idea what else it would be) doesn't work so I ended up deleting my ~/.gnome2/keyrings folder. thanks tho
