Menu becomes opaque & terminal tranparent

    hi,

    this is the system details:
Fedora 7, 32bit. Installed on 16GB USB drive with 512MB as swap and rest for the file-system (arnd 15GB).

am able to boot, log on, install etc etc. Problem is that every 15mins or so, the menu options for File / Edit etc show black drop downs in multiple applications.

also, the terminal becomes transparent. cannot even see the basic background.

It all goes away when I re-login.

    any help would be great!!

Hello charu86. Thank you for writing.

I would consider going through the graphic and visual options first, which might not work as you're telling me. However, I'd still go for it to begin with.

Then, I'd upgrade the OS Version or even better, check there are no security updates or updates of other type that might solve this. Finally, as IMO it' d be unlikely, I'd search for hardware issues or incompatibilities.

Hope it helps at least starting a brainstorm inside your head.-
