    Lost usb hard disk, flash drive support upgrade 2.6.10


    I upgrade the fedora core 3 kernel to 2.6.10 using a rmp package on there ftp server under upgrades. Well when I boot into kernel 2.6.10 I have no flash drive or my external hard drive. The hardware thing that like device manager in windows show the external. I have no internet in linux

    Please help

    open a terminal, log in as root and type fdisk -l. post your results here. Also post the results of cat /etc/mtab and cat /etc/fstab

    When you say that your internet does not work, what do you mean? what error messages do you receive?

    my wireless doesn't work caues I don't have a driver
    as for the command I'll do that very soon

    I am having the same problem... usb flash drive used to work fine... just upgraded the fedora kernel and now it won't popup or let me access it. =/

    Here is my my fdisk -l results:

    Ok I this is what I did to fix It I download all the updates. I think the update that made it work was the hotplug one.
